Well in my professional opinion. (due to reading WAY too many webcomics) you do have the ingredients to make it work. It's only the first year, but a fabulous foundation has been laid for future growth in story and readership.
Your group has a distinctive style to art that is in no way amateurish. You all release like clockwork, which is not to be underestimated, and extremely professional. Your main characters show distinct and interestingly tweaked personalities that are believable for your universe (Tweaked fantasy, with a lot of up-to-date jokes thrown in), as far as I have seen them. The world, although you have not had time to flesh it out, feels like there is a lot of room to grow, and the jokes are consistently funny. Finally, other big aggegrators (I'm thinking wow.com specifically) have taken notice above and beyond your ad buys.
Things could go wrong of course, but the only thing I see that could happen now is a terminal rupture between all of you who work on the web-comic together. I doubt you could have survived a year together and managed to keep the release schedule if that was the case. Personally, I rank you up there with top-quality web-comics like Templar AZ, LFGroup, Heliothaumic, Megatokyo and Skin-deep. If you keep this level of quality, the readers WILL come, you all are past the critical mass point already.
Take some of your favorite webcomics and read only the first year, you might be surprised.

I know I was skeptical at the outset, but Guilded Age has been one of my favorite comics for a while now. Keep up the awesome work!

Love your line work, Erica.
