I like this a whole lot. It makes me think of the Troll Market from Hellboy 2. I imagine that the monster dude really isn't that unpleasant but that he puts on his mask both for the benefit of his clients and so that he can bargain without showing his hand.
Reminds me of Spirited Away.

This needs to be fleshed out and made into a t-shirt.
The trick to impersonating a human is to wear an outrageous, World Beard and Mustache Championship grade mustache. It'll keep everyone's eyes off the tentacles.
